Wyoming Freedom of Information

The Wyoming Sunshine Law under Wyo. Stat. § 16-4-201 et seq. is a series of laws designed to guarantee that the public has access to the public records of government bodies at all levels in Wyoming.  Moreover, as a part of freedom of information, the Wyoming Public Meeting Law provides the methods by which public meetings are conducted.  Chapter 16 Article 4 of the Wyoming statutes defines the law.  The statement of purpose of the Open Meetings Act states, “the agencies of Wyoming exist to conduct public business. Certain deliberations and actions shall be taken openly as provided in this act.”
